A new horizon
I will use this blog as a tool to get lost when everything else seems to be in chaos. I'll hide here, under this little open rock, when the meteorite war is in its highest point. When everything else feels wrong.
Out there, there is something we never imagined would have happened. Never. And because of this, I decided to move. If we can get through a new life when all this is happening and is turning all the place upside down, we can get through anything. At least that's how I take it.
In September I moved to another country to start a new chapter in my life; a bit scared that I would not be able to meet people, that I wouldn't get through this with my partner of adventures, as we say to each other. We rented a flat next to Amsterdam and began to settle while all this pandemic thing seemed to relax for a while. About a month-ish after we had arrived, new restrictive measures began to be applied in the Netherlands. By now, bars and restaurants are closed, and commuting is strictly recommended to just the barely necessary.
This, for us, cut our wings and hunger of exploring. We would have to take a step back, breath in some clean, fresh air, and rethink our way of living.
We need to explore, to be caught by something that catches our attention, that pushes us further and out of our comfort zones. Something that brings joy into our every days and salt into our water. A pop of color into our grey, elbows-on-the-table days. Hence this article, which is all over the place but helps me stay with myself. Take care of me.
